Flanged IL Spigot

A flanged spigot is a ductwork component used to connect sections of duct or to connect ductwork to other HVAC equipment. It features a flanged edge, which provides a secure and stable connection point onto a flat surface i.e. rectangular ductwork

Description:

Material: Manufactured from galvanized steel

Design: The spigot is a cylindrical piece that is fixed direclty onto a flat piece of ductwork with a flange around its circumference. The spigot is “male” and will slip directly inside spiral ductwork

Uses in Ductwork Systems

  • Connecting Duct Sections: Flanged spigots are used to join two sections of ductwork together, ensuring a tight and stable connection.
  • Attachment to Equipment: They connect ductwork to HVAC equipment like fans or kitchen canopies, providing a secure and airtight seal
  • Sealing: Once fixed the flange should be sealed with duct sealant to create an airtight seal, improving the efficiency of the ductwork system and preventing air leaks

In summary, a flanged spigot is a versatile and essential component in ductwork systems, used for creating secure, stable, and airtight connections between duct sections and HVAC equipment.
